Midwest Transplant Network’s laboratory provides state-of-the-art histocompatibility testing for solid organ and hematopoietic stem cell transplant that spans across the state of Kansas and western Missouri. Designated as the OPO histocompatibility laboratory, the MTN Laboratory is dedicated to providing lifesaving services for all transplant centers within the region. Our laboratory leadership continues to evaluate new opportunities to implement cutting-edge technology to better serve and support the needs of our transplant community. Our goal is to be a resource for best clinical practices in the evolving field of histocompatibility.

The MTN laboratory is an FDA-registered donor testing facility, and it is accredited by CLIA, ASHI and CAP. Services include histocompatibility testing (antibody detection, ABO blood grouping/subgrouping, A1 titer, flow cytometry crossmatching, molecular HLA typing and chimerism testing), as well as infectious disease donor screening.
