Donor Hope Ray

Hope Ray

Hope spent only two weeks of her short life at home with her parents and big sister. At just five weeks and five days old, Hope suffered a seizure that ended her life far too soon – but she was able to give life to others as an organ and tissue donor.

“Organ donation is something you think about for yourself, but never for your child,” said Hope’s mother, Amy.

Even though Hope was born full-term, Amy described her pregnancy as rough and felt that something wasn’t right from the beginning. The Rays depended heavily on family for support through their devastating loss.

Hope’s story proves that regardless of age, anyone can give life as a donor.
