Tiffany White & Daisetta Huggens
Daisetta struggled on dialysis for more than 11 years. She desperately needed a kidney transplant but insisted that her daughter, Tiffany, not consider donating.
“I wanted her to live her life, have children and not sacrifice for me,” Daisetta said.
But Tiffany wanted her mom back, so at Daisetta’s doctor appointment, she asked if she could be a living donor.
“The day after surgery, I was already up and in my mom’s room,” Tiffany said. “It was the best news to hear that my kidney started working in her instantly – a perfect match.”
Daisetta didn’t realize just how sick she’d been until she started feeling better again, and she was thrilled that her daughter was also back to normal health after a short recovery.
